Looking for a TV that does not require a sound bar...

I'm trying to keep my AV box count down so I'm looking for a 32 or 37 inch TV upgrade that has good internal speakers and does not require a sound bar...

Is there such a thing in 2014?

Some are better than others, but the main issue is physics. With the drive to make flat screens ever flatter, sound quality is reduced as speakers that thin can't physically move air in the same volumes to give good sound quality, especially in larger rooms.

Have you thought about the Q Acoustics Q-TV system? A much neater solution to the problem meaning you can concentrate on getting a TV with great picture and not having to worry about the sound.
