I was bored today so I went out to buy an optical digital cable for the Sky HD box. It is shame Sky don't let Dolby Digital through HDMI, BAD DESIGN! I read on what hifi blog that new boxes may let you do this, anyway, off that, I connected it and the audio quality was much much improved. One problem though, lip syncing was out of time. So I went to my settings and it said Group Delay, does that mean delay audio or video, or both? I have lost my manual so I couldn't check in there. I changed group delay but it sort off looked the same!

Please help, thanks.

Your Rotel should allow you to apply audio delay. For a while Sky+HD boxes were terrible for lipsync, when I first got mine, I was forever fiddling both with the delay in the Sky box and the amp. It was frustrating to say the least. Where are seeing "Group Delay"?

Sky have rectified the problems (for me anyway) and my Sky+HD box is set at 0ms and I apply 22ms to my amp. I don't seem to get any lip sync issues now.
