Surely any manufacturer can claim theirs is the best, and have it parroted in a news story?

The vast majority are buying LG Oleds.

The vast majority on that thread appears to be just you and maybe one other person, and one other poster had bought a Sony. So that's 1-1, or 2-1 at best.

So what’s your point Norman? If you got one - which I doubt you do seeing as you spend much of your time on here not having one too, just stupid comments like your mate Chebby. Who interrupted two of my LG threads recently to tell me to read the ******* manual - classy bloke when it had nothing to do with the manual and to tell me to wait and see LG, when me and BB solved the problem anyway. Anyway you don’t see me spending my time trying to belittle others peoples comments like you pair do to me. Anymore and I will report the lot. It’s very sad you pair have nothing better to do with your lives!
