JohnDuncan:He certainly has no shame when it comes to buying hifi illicitly...

Joel reminds me of my dear, recently departed, Father who used to buy expensive tools then tuck them away somewhere in his workshop hoping my Mother wouldn't notice, when she did notice he used to try and bluff her that he'd had them for years, and anyway it didn't cost much. She knew exactly what he was up to.

Honesty is the best policy.

I know quite a few track cyclists who started because they could hide their bikes by storing them at the velodrome. Indeed I managed to use the "Oh I've just borrowed that off a mate to race at the weekend story".

I have a friend who stores his guitar collection at his mates shop, hanging on the wall with the rest of the stock that is genuinely for sale.

JoelSim:I will once I've taken it home and set it up. Currently sitting in its box at work.

Your willpower to stare at the box lying provocatively beside you for so many days is really quite commendable. Perhaps this impressive display of faithfullness is an opportunity to get some extra brownie points with the wife.

No choice. There was no chance of me getting 3 tubes (14 stops) and a train (3 stops) home in rush hour carrying the damn thing, it weights 20Kg!

I have the car with me today, on its first available date. I have also told the missus this morning, and by emphasising the bargain part*, I have got away with it.

Phew!

*I did also suggest that if we need to realize the value to buy a new house later in the year then I would sell on.

Should the occasion arise, I'm sure by some strange turn of events the Leema will be worth a fraction of its former price, and selling on would be both foolish and pointless.
