LED TV Samsung

Hi Skularatna

I have a 55 inch Samsung LED. It's model number UE55C6005. I live in Sweden so I think this model is specific to Scandanavia. I am not an expert so won't be able to give you any technical details, but to my eyes, this TV is pretty damn good. I use it for Blu Ray, HD and SD TV. I don't use it for gaming at all. Blu Ray picture quality is, to me, brilliant. I have noticed some slight stuttering during Blu Ray playback, but am yet to determine what the cause of this is. I don't think it is the TV. Motion on this TV is outstanding with all sources I use. During football and hockey games in HD & SD, I don't see any judder or blurring of players, half way lines (as I've read with other TV's) ok, so the ball may judder slightly when kicked from one end of the field to the next, but that isn't a problem for me. Colours seem natural and vivid, skin tones realistic. Black levels to me seem black. There are quite a lot of settings to play around with, but as suggested by almost everyone I've spoken to/all the threads I've read are best left off. I don't use it for internet, although I've read elsewhere that menu's are slick and some of the best around (Don't quote me on that!). The sound, I haven't given much thought to as I will be getting a 5.1 system soon.

I'm sorry I don't know of many websites in the UK that will send to Sri Lanka, but I sent some emails to Exceptional AV and Hispek, both of which said they would send to Sweden. Although when it came to asking for quotes on delivery, I didn't hear back from them.

I hope this is of some help to you. If you have any questions, I will do my best to answer.

I currently own a UE55C7000 and it is a slick looking TV. The picture and colour etc is very good.

The only thing i have had an issue with is clouding or lights in the corners when the picture is dark. The Tv i have now is the 4th i have had, the first had a big scratch on it and the next 2 had clouding problems, current tv now seems to be free from any problems. I would just be aware of this and test the set when it arrives.

I did actually try to edit my original post to include the clouding issue, which I have also noticed on my TV. Mainly in the bottom left hand corner. However I thought this was just a downside of LED technology. Are you saying that you have no clouding whatsoever on your latest set Mark8par?

Apart from that, I agree. It is a very good TV.
