LED TV for £1600

Hi all, a few questions.

I'm after a LED tv in this price budget. 55in ideally.

I went to demo some plasmas yesterday and unfortunately I guess I suffer from noticing a high level of flickering, which makes the tv tough to watch for more than a few minutes. This was the same with all the Panasonic plasmas I looked at, and the Samsung ones are too much money.

My living room is also quite bright, due to French doors.

Which 55in tv would you recommend for this budget?

Is the 55ET65b worth a look?

What are the main differences between the ET and DT series? And would those differences impact on tv viewing a great amount?

As mentioned in another post the Sony55" W8 looks like a good set for that sort of money, looks like they are giving away a smartphone with the TV now as well.
