LCD or LED and which tv for gaming?

What would you recomend a 46 inch Samsung LCD or a 40 inch Sony LED?

Also im looking for a tv for gaming, is 50hz noticable comapared to 100hz when gamin?

the samsung 46c750 might interest you , its a 200hz 3dtv , should be ok for gaming as 3dtvs need a fast refresh rate , you would need to buy glasses , but its great value for what you get imo , yours for £1139.95 ...

To clarify, LED TVs are LCD TVs - but just with LED backlighting, which promises (and often delivers) deeper blacks, faster response times and greater power efficiency.

At that screen size, also don't rule out plasmas - yes, they use more power, but have ultra-fast response rates great for gaming.

Any decent dealer should be able to offer you a demo with a games console so you can find a set that suits. If they don't offer it, take your console and a favourite game in with you.

Unfortunately, gaming on these new sets is no that great, especially if your a keen online gamer. There is alot of input lag on the current samsung and sonys. Plasma is the way to go at the present moment in terms of gaming and especially online gaming. There is another website which gives figures for input lag so it might be worth your while finding this particular website as i dont think im allowed to post its name on these forums.

i was googling away earlier trying to find somewhere thats selling that sammy plasma , couldnt find one ....

probably a better choice for gaming to be fair ....
