My laptop has completely packed up, so i no longer have access to my itunes ..... is there a way i can get the content that is stored on my iphone back into a new itunes on my new laptop? ... I would really appreciate your help if there is anyone out there who knows.

I've tried going through apple and the web site but cant seem to find anything that can point me in the right direction.

Cheers!

You can't do this officially via anything Apple. However, there are programs out there to do just what you are asking. I've not used one personally, but have seen similar threads on here in the past about moving music from an iPod to a PC, so i guess an iPhone would be similar.

Don't try and sync your iPhone, as it may wipe it depending on your sync set up on the new PC

I think you'll find not many people do regular back-ups, chebs. Daft, I know, but most people only seem to start doing it after a catastrophic failure - lessons learnt the hard way.

It should be possible to take the hard-drive out of your old laptop and access the content (assuming that's not the bit of your laptop that's broken) - you may need to seek some professional assistance with that though.

Or try and find the software mentioned. You load it on to your ipod/phone (i assume you would need to have already enabled the option to have it appear as a disk drive when connected to do that) and it allows you to copy all the content on to another drive.

If you can get the old hard drive out of the laptop (and as you say, if it's still working), using one of these IDE / SATA to USB adaptors lets you access all the data on another PC very easily.

Have you looked on the iLounge website which has lots of helpful Guides to do things like this and also what software you need? as Binman says, its not endorsed by Apple but there is software available to extract your iPod data and load it onto a Pc.

Good luck
