Kefs 1001 sub paired with 3001 centre & fronts - is this madness?

This may sound weird but it's hopefully only temporary. I've ordered Kef3005SE front & centre speakers to replace my Kef1001.1 front & centre but i'm leaving the subwoofer for a later date. Do you think I will be at a huge loss by not having the 3005 sub to match up with the fronts & centre. I'll still be using the Kef1001 sub. Hope to complete the set kwhen funds return in a couple months.
