The new Q series is great fir music and movies, and as they are very easy to drive, they have a nice, lively presentation which can be driven quite easily by even moestly powered amplifiers. They are quite revealing though, so will let you know if any partnering equipment isn't quite up to their standard.
The 1910 will drive them, and it will sound great, but it won't get the best from them. The upside to this is that they will stand you a receiver upgrade sometime in the future should you wish to.
These are probably the best speaker under £500 along with the Rega RS1's, but the KEF's will deal with AV much better than the Rega's will.
