KEF LS50 Advice

Hi all,

I'm looking for a bit of advice. I have just ordered the Kef LS50 online and they are due for delivery on Tuesday. I currrently have Tannoy Mercury V4's and a Yamaha AS-500 amp. I was wondering how the Kef's would sound with the Yamaha amp until I have saved up enough to buy a better amp such as the Kandy K2?

Hifi is about taste, subjective VFM and trial and error.

Try your current amp with the LS50s for a while.....then compare it to the K2 (or whatever) and then make your decision after that.

FWIW. The LS50s are terrific speakers and will respond to better amplification.......it's just how far you wish to go. :shifty:

Fully agree with Cno. These great speakers have generated more threads in the last six months than almost anything.

Worth you reading a few, if you haven't already.
