just purchased 5, 2005.2 kef eggs but they are all set for wall mounting. I need to know how to alter them for sitting on a shelf and if you can alter one of them for the centre, or is the centre speaker different. If i cant alter all five of them they are for sale.

Hi I think you will need an allen key and the centre speaker is the only one that is disighned for centre use which you can also adjust the stand on I cannot remember what size the allen key is 5 or 6mm I guess

The KEF logo is the other way round on the centre speaker. I.e. the word "KEF" reads across with the speaker on its side and the port to the right.
You'll need a 5mm Allen key to unscrew the stand and to tighten it up with the other bolt on the bottom of the stand.
You can screw the stands into any of the mounting points on any of the speakers

thanks for the speedy reply Scene but its the fitting that comes with the speaker i want to adjust. it says you can alter it by removing the allen screw and fit it so that the speaker will sit on a shelf and project out and not up,if you get my drift. another member has informed me that you need to get a dedicated centre speaker as the ones i have are all for surround duty. thanks again.

Of the stands have been set for wall hanging, they may have been screwed into one of the other fitting points on the egg. I had to do that to get mine wall hung.
I was going to post a picture, but it's completely unclear from it!
But the installation manual PDF on the kef website does a much better job :) http://kef.com/html/en/explore/about_kef/museum/2000s/KHT2005.2/index.html
Interestingly it shows all the speakers as hts2001s... And the stand on my centre says it's an hts2001 as well (I've got a 2005.2 set up in my dining room).
Is there actually any difference between the hts2001.2 and the "htc2001.2" apart from which way round the kef logo is stuck
