JVC showed a prototype 3D projector at IFA, and it looks like a full spec unit for the UK is on its way - we've just been invited to a preview next month.[😀]

I'm just compiling a 3D timeline (Sky, Virgin and 3D Blu-ray) yet have nothing to watch the content on! I refuse to let a TV set back in my house after six years of absence
but does that rule out a projector, you could get one and refuse to get a tv tuner, and use it for films only.
You misunderstand me; I've exclusively used a projector at home since 2004. I use it for TV, movies and gaming
My excitement is there may finally be some options emerging should I want to watch 3D. Sony, Samsung and JVC consumer models on the way, with LG already out with a commercial model that may distill down into a home option.

ah, sorry about the confusion, the one thing i think that might get me investing in 3d in the future, would be the gaming potential
