Jamo C 809 low volume performance??

The C 809 was part of the package that won best 3000+ speaker package. I have had this speaker for a few days & am very happy except that it needs a bit of volume before it opens up. I don't want to get into my system, room ect. yet. I would really just love to know if this is a characteristic of this speaker.

Thanks just the kind of info I was wanting.
I guess the C803 would be a better speaker for lower volume listening then?
Will they open up a bit over time?

I don't think so. Jamo speakers are very good, but they won't make for a good pair of speakers for low volume listening.
How do you like your bass? If you don't really need very tight and punchy bass, try Dali IKON. Super excellent speakers for low/mid volume listening. And they would sing even with moderately powered amps.
