IXOS211 banana Plugs

Does anyone have any idea how to connect these to speaker cable ?

There are no instructions and I am completely stumped !!

it shows how the gold bit (the pointy end) screws away from the silver bit (the barrell) to allow the cable to fit in between, then the silver bit clamps the cable to the gold bit.

hope that makes some sense.

That is the only way I could think of...but it's a pretty ugly solution ..

ugly is the only way to go, anyway you won't see anything once connected to the back of the speakers.

Why not simply wire direct? Unless you are constantly disconnecting the speakers there's no disadvantage.
