Hey, thought that would grab your attention. [:p]

I hooked up the Tacima CS929 and did a like for like as just got it today.

First started with 5 songs which had amazing detail and stuff I know, then watched a few minutes of some SD recorded shows and same with a HD recorded show.

Then uplugged my amp from the wall and all the other plugs from the old mains block which was about 8 years old.

I decided to Plug the amp into the Tacima just to see what would happen, as it seemed my old block robbed it of dynamics and power.

So started with some Bonny portmore as I just love that highlander song, and some damian rice and chris isaak and tom petty, and I thought to myself wait a minute there is tons more detail on the guitar and lots more musical range in the Right and left.

The dynamics just opened up, lots more control without it feeling as there was no power, its like a different system....... WOW!!!

So thought well at least its good for the music.

Now the SD shows, was not expecting much, as my TV sucks for SD stuff, lots of blur and motion its the worst I have seen.

Again the TV smoothed out, the picture and colours are more detailed and vibrant.and the ghosting as pretty much gone.

And last the HD, well never had a problem with this, but again the colours and detail have just come alive.

I thought to myself this cant be right and I am just wanting to see a difference, so unhooked everything again and listened to the same music and tv shows with the Old block, and I was not just imaginging it.

Its really helped me, and oh by the by, the brother in law re-wired our full house only 3 years ago with new wires and board

It has helped me to no end, so much so that I cant belive its the same TV and Amp, and my amp was amazing before. Maybe the electric was dirty coming into the house, who knows.

1 happy customer, besides my amp and speakers, one of the best purchases I have made.

I found my receiver and sub sounds better plugged directly to the wall socket, rather than via the tacima.....

Just my opinion.....

But I agree with you about this excellent piece of kit......

You thought that the Pioneer sounded better plugged in to the Tacima? I'll have to try mine in a with/without comparison when my Pioneer arrives.

Have read a few posts which all seemed to suggest that the amp was better off not being used with a Tacima.

Taking it out of the Tacima has transformed my receiver..........and added a bit more depth and punch to the sub.

Each to their own I guess.

I plugged mine into the wall and then the Tacima Twice, and I can hear a lot more detail and seperation in the music.

A lot better for my ears.

Still shocked TBH and my TV is another WOW factor, I was going to buy another 1, but think I might wait to see if any half price boxing day offers

Got to say i agree with canada16....my amp and entire system benefit from the tcima across the board just like canada. When i connect directly to the mains socket with my amp i too lose dynamics, detail and bass. Music is an entirely different prospect with the tacima plugged in and is just so much more engaging to listen to, not to mention the extra attack the tacima introduces, it's night and day stuff!

Could the merits of owning and using a block such as the tacima be down to your mains system at home?? For example i live in a flat that i'm sure has had no electrical changes in over 10years, and therefore i may benefit more from the tacima in my system than someone who lives in a more modern home with new electrics relative to mine? Just a thought

Might be a thought....my house was built 10 years ago......so is relatively new.

Tonestar1:There is a guy just posted on another thread saying that when his fridge motor kicks in his speakers pop. Surely thats proof that dirty power can cause problems?
Yes, I saw that one and I get similar issues with pops and crackles when my freezers/boiler/central heating pump cut in or out.

I must admit, I do want to get the earth connection on my house checked (just in case), but with a lot of devices on a system, it is possible to get interference between them. Step one though, as I know, is to check that I haven't got any inter-device issues, such as sub cables wrapped around the amp's power cord, etc.
