Is this a good Van Damme interconnect?

The cable will make no difference over the one you already have. But I have used Connect Audio for DIY parts in the past and they were fine to deal with.

Having recently purchased a 1m pair terminated with Neutrik XLR's from proaudioshop for just £22.60 + p&p, I'd say Van Damme is a very good interconnect. It's what PMC recommend for use with Bryston amplification, which is what I have, driving PMC speakers. However, it's dependent not just on system context but also on correct matching with the other cables in your system, so don't expect to be able just to buy a set of Van Damme interconnects, slot them in amongst an assortment of components and cables of disparate provenance and obtain great results. You probably won't. I also use Van Damme 6mm speaker cable (biwired), which isn't at all expensive either and, between my Wadia CD transport and Trichord Pulsar D:AC (Bryston BDA-1 pending), a BNC-terminated digital lead supplied by PMC themselves (though I don't know what make it is). Now, all parts of the system seem to be working in harmony. You really don't need to spend large sums of money on cables, but it's wise to use the same brand throughout your system.

Best thing to do mate, is buy and try them yourself.

Some people think they make a differance and others not.

Dont get bogged down with it all.

Its only a piece of wire at the end of the day.
