Hi....have been to all stores in area for.....40" LCD......100Hz....1080.......apart from Samsung ( salesman warned of rear/poor speakers!)....cant seem to find anything....any ideas welcome..ian

Thanks John....seems to be 50Hz.....my info says 100Hz performs better with fast motion pictures??...otherwise I rather like Sony stuff..ian

Right, didn't check that far into the spec - personally I think that 100hz is unnecessary, but TVs are functional to me at best, and that review would sell it to me..........

Have looked at Sony KDL-40W4050.......more expensive ..but has 100Hz....can anyone confirm.....does this set have a white trim!! ian..is it available in black?
