Really thinking about these soundbars,Though for the price of of the 40 D I coud buy an 1100 and have the coin to add a sub, maybe a Wharfdale diamond sw250?

Which would be the better option? anyone...anyone...Cheers.:)

I've seen the 40D for around £700, so not sure where you're getting the £300 gap from?

Anyhow, best to also consider your size of set and room - the 40D, as its name suggests, is ideal for 40-42in sets. The 1100, we found, is great with larger sets and rooms.

Cheapest I've seen the 40D is £780

And the 1100 for £475.

Cool to know that the 1100 is still worth a shufty though, thanks Claire :)

It depends if you want digital radio and the convenience of working through Vierra link on the remote control or not. I have auditioned the YSP 1100 and it definately had a presence. I bought the 30D in the end because my other stuff is Panasonic, plus the bigger unit would not fit on my Stand and as I had a good deal I could afford a Subwoofer as well. There should be a £10 voucher in What Hifi Magazine if you decide to purchase from Richer Sounds. Happy Xmas!
