I currently have a Panasonic th50pz80 and it is a fantastic tv but the time has come for the upgrade(aprox £2000).After searching around I find all the new models from panasonic and samsung are 55,65 or even 75+ no point going forr the 55 as not much different to my 50 and the 65 are well over £2000 and thats my budget screwed.

60” is ok for a bathroom or watching the news or bargain hunt but not much else, therefore you have to go for a big screen (Or better still a projector) if you want to watch films or anything else.

Could give this a go... It could be replaced with something else shortly as its a 2012, and that is not a lot of discount for the time of year. You may find one cheaper elsewhere!

A bathroom?

Admittedly, this isn't a world (or bathroom) I know or understand.

Abacus, are you a Sheikh? Do you own one or more football clubs?

Quite apart from finding inexplicable the view that 60" is too small, I was concerned as to the consequences of having a steamy shower with a TV in the room.

You must be too young to remember CRTs ? 36 inch was considered an enormous screen, while 21 inches was common in a lot of homes. Amazing what you get used to when you have no choice.

Just copied this from plasma tv's in pricerunner,

42" in (32)

50" in (49)

55" in (5)

60" in (18 )

I'm surprised their is no 46" but plenty of 60" if you look around.
