just read that it doesnt use hdmi 2.0a which is needed to display HDR on 4k blu rays. if sony wont support that then only way for HDR is amazon/netflix which i dont use :(

i wanted to buy once and keep a 4k tv for a long time. but if this doesnt support HDR for future UHD blu rays is it worth waiting for 2016 models?

Sony launched its 2015 line-up earlier this year and only the X93C and X94C included support for HDR. However, a software update will bring it to all of the Ultra HD TVs launched this year. Existing owners of the TVs will be able to get a taste of HDR even though the TVs will not be able to reproduce the full dynamic range. This requires full array local dimming on LCD displays.

The update will also include HDMI 2.0a, Sony confirmed to FlatpanelsHD.

i can get it after all I think then. Maybe to get the benefit more I need to spend even more to get the higher up Sony model with full local dimming? The X85 only

edge lit dimming or something

Where are you buying the phone from? I'm interested in it as well. This is the cheapest I've found so far.
