When turning volume knob (volume up or down) I can hear some strange noise. Does anyone know why is that? Does anyone have or tested CA 840A V2.0???. My 740A was fine I couldn't hear anything!!!! It is quite annoying. Please help!!!!

Yeah it is like clicking or something. Why is that? and why didn't my 740A have that??

As MP explained, the volume on the 840 is controlled by relays rather than a conventional potentiometer. There's really nothing to worry about

... I quite liked it.

You soon get used to it.

What do you think of the amp, Maciek?

I think is very good actually. I upgraded from 740A sounds good but the thing is I'm upgrading Cd player to 840C soon as I'm still using 640C so I can't wait for my 840C I hope then will see real difference. I will connect them via XLR do you think it will change anything? I really like 840A though🙂 Sounds good even from ipod🙂

I would splash out on a decent XLR cable. You have two boxes costing £750 each, they deserve decent connections.
