Do you think adding an external dac like the cambridge audio dac magic to the denon dm37 is worth it , will it improve the sound much. Has anyone actually added an external dac to the denon dm37.?

No point whatsoever, unless you're running an external digital source into the system, and even then the limitations of the system would probably negate the improvements brought by the DacMagic.

When you say limitations of the system are you mainly talking about the amp inside the denon dm37. I feel the denon isnt getting the best out of my wharfedale 9.1 speakers , maybe getting a separate cd player and amp is a better idea.

Yes, and there is no way that adding a DacMagic can be of any use, since you can't get the CD source out of the Denon into the DM and then feed it back into the system.

The DM-37 is exceptionally good for a system of its kind, but you would get more out of your speakers by spending more on a separate CD player and amplifier.
