Hi everyone, im new to the site!

About 1993/94 i bought a technics A900 mark2 amp which cost about £300/350. It has been standing gathering dust now for maybe 10 years since i sold my turntables (im into djing).

Having re-ignited my passion for djing i have tried setting everything up, i have mission 751 speakers also. The problem is that there is a humming/buzzing sound thats coming through the speakers every so often. I have tried the speaker cable connections but it seems to be coming from the amp as when i push the volume knob or press the tone button it makes a popping sound, then its fine. The next time i turn it on it might make a noise right away or wait a bit, but at some point it starts again.

Anyone know what this could be? maybe dust as its been out of use for so long, or a loose connection.

Would it be worth getting it serviced or buying a new amp. I wouldn't be able to pay £350 this time mind as i only want to spend maybe £150.

All help appreciated!!
