Hi Leo,

The Cambridge Audio S30 stereo speakers are a fantastic buy at £120, so if you could get a pair for £80 they'd be a bargain. The only thing to remember about them is not to put them hard up against a wall - the bass gets all out of sorts if you do that.

Full test of the S30s against five other sub-£150 stereo speakers in our December issue, out next Thursday (15th).

Thank you so much for your kindly reply!

The thing is I'm not sure wether the pair I want to buy is an authentic one or a fake one. I live in China, there are many small factories imitate the original design to make there speakers. But the seller claims that the goods he sell are authentic. He has some pictures about them.Could you be so kind to have a look at them and help me to find out whether they are authentic speakers?

And by the way, I can't buy your issue in my place, so can you send me a electronic press of your magzine?

Thank you so much!

The following pictures are from the seller:

Hi there

I've spent quite a bit of time with the S30s recently, and your photos certainly look like the genuine article. Obviously, we can't know what the innards are like, but the cabinet, drivers and binding posts all look authentic to me.

All of which means that £80 is fine value.

The demensions of the cambridge S30 displayed in the picture are :(W x D x H): 160 x 230 x 225mm

but the official demensions are :(W x D x H): 160 x 219 x 320mm. Can some one tell me the exatc demensions?

The cambridge audio website specs of dimensions are 160 x 219 x 320mm, but the Chinese seller's speakers' are 160 x 230 x 225mm, so I guess they are selling fake ones?

so I guess they are selling fake ones?
[/quote]Or they've measured them incorrectly or typed the wrong numbers. Have you contacted Cambridge Audio about these speakers? The people there should be able to give you a definitive answer.

Hi, Lucas, Could you do me a favor please? Could you measure the dimensions of your S30 and tell me the definitive values? I doubt the specs are not correct on the cambridge website.
