Purchased my first ever iPod yesterday (the new 8Gb Nano). Will mainly be used in my company car instead of 60+ CD's ! But we have decided to replace the 15yr old radio/cassette player in the kithcen with a docking station. Simple you may think, the mm50...... but we also want a radio! Any suggestions?

A couple of suggestions, depending on your budget. We rate this Noxon highly - it's an FM and internet radio (great if you've got wi-fi) with an iPod dock/speakers. Costs around £200.

This Intempo is also due in shops shortly - a £99 dock with a DAB radio. We haven't tested it yet, but Intempo has a decent pedigree in both docks and digital radios. Take your iPod along and test it in store, perhaps?

Budget is around the £200 mark.

The Intempo looks a nice bit of kit, more along the lines of what we are looking for.

Thanks

Is there anything currently available to purchase, that you can recommend?

We have a social event on Sunday and it would be nice to showcase the new unit.

An FM radio and not a feeble sound.

A sudden thought...

The Tivoli iSongbook could suit - a classy, superb-sounding radio with an iPod dock on the side. We knocked off a star for it being overpriced when we first reviewed it at £300, but it's available for significantly less these days, as you'll see here.
