I'm looking to spend around £200 to get an Ipod dock for use in my kitchen.

Needs to be small (ish) and compact, but would go for something bigger if it would mean a vast difference in performance.

Kitchen is about 18ft * 12ft.

Any advice on which of the many docks are best to go for?

Thanks

Hi there,

At that money, there's a clear performance leader - the Audioengine A5 speakers, available in black or white. OK, so it's not a traditional dock, but it'll charge any MP3 players, and you'll get a far better sound than from a one-box dock.

On a more compact - but smaller-sounding- note, the Terratec Noxon 2 is another good buy, offering internet radio and streaming as well as iPod sounds.

Sitting somewhere in the middle of those two is KEF's Picoforte One - a compact, two-speaker iPod solution.
