Pre iOS 7 and ituens 11.1 I enjoyed several month of rock-solid performance from my airplay system (mac mini, two aexes, ipod/ipad as Remote). With the recent update the problems started: - musci stops playing - orange airplay icon in itunes - aexes lost by itunes - itunes somemes freezez - remote does not connect to library - remote sees playlists but not songs/albums when I try to add songs to a playlists using Rmote - when I tried to re-set the aexes, it fails, airplay now unusable I had similar problems I think two generations of ituen sand aex firmware ago. At that time turning off ipv 6 sorted it. Is anybody else having these problems?

I am close to ditching it and going Sonos.

Still not resolved. Went through it with Apple phone support, they scratched their head and we agreed that they will call back the following week but no call and no reply to a follow-up email. Unusual for Apple.

If you are really not happy and the manufacturer has not solved the problem to your satisfaction, then you should be elligible for a full or partial refund. The products don't fulfill the 'fit for purpose' criteria or that of the 'satisfactory quality'.

Sonos seems to have less problems.

If itcannot be resolved an option is to try going wireless but via the new airport extreme. I hear airplay systems around them are quite stable?

another option is to abandon apple and airplay and go Sonos, also wireless

I've never had issue before with Apple stuff, but intermittent problems like with your kit would drive me crazy and there probably isn't a lot that you could do to fix it.

Resolved! Again, by turning off ipv6 in mac os. One of the updates must have turned it back on without telling me :).

Now everything works via homeplug ethernet and so far - rock solid.

oddly, Apple failed to support here.
