Hi,
I have a system comprising the following: Arcam 8R amp, Arcam 8 radio, Arcam 7SE CD and recently bought an old Arcam 7 amp for a second set of speakers. Then I decided to plug my tv into the amp, and have now decided to do the same with my computer. I have two problems - my computer is 5m away and the cable would need to go under the carpet, and secondly that the computer output is a 3.5mm headphone jack.
I thought that I could ignore the 3.5mm problem and buy some awful splitter for £1 to get to RCA outputs (and live with the horror), but for the 5m distance I would like to buy some decent interconnects. As it will be under the carpet, I thought that the QED Qontour MP-SW cables looked a good bet as they are very thin and will not stick out, but saw that it said it was for 'subwoofers'.
Does it really matter if i use it for stereo sound input to my amplifier? Ie. for treble and bass? Or am I wasting my money and should consider something else?
All advice gratefully received.
Thank you,
David
