Inbuilt speakers vs Stereo Hi-Fi

I'm thinking of buying a TV (around 32") this summer and would like to know whether it would be more worthwhile seeking out a TV with good inbuilt speakers, or somehow connecting it to my Stereo Hi-Fi (NAD C352/Quad 11L)?

I don't think home cinema speakers would be that beneficial as I will still be watching normal dvds (not blu-rays) and non-hd television for the most part - correct me if i'm wrong.

If the Hi-Fi option is the best - how would I go about connecting a tv/dvd player etc. to my Hi-Fi?

Thanks

Tom.

Yes, connecting the TV to your hi-fi would give much better sound - just make sure you buy a set with analogue stereo outs (on a conventional pair of phono sockets) and you'll be fine.

Great

Should I then connect the sound of the dvd player directly to the hifi as well? Or just everything to the tv, then the tv sound to the hifi?
