I am thinking of purchasing the B&W MT-30 speaker package but my wife does not want to see the speakers.

Is there an in-wall system that will match the performance?

Well B&W do in-wall hidden speakers - as explained here, which should sound as good, if not better than the B&W MT-30. There are lots of other good in-wall (or in ceiling) speakers available. I'd recommend looking at the KEF or Monitor Audio websites to see the sort of thing available. You will also need a sub-woofer, and Velodyne do some pretty good ones.
A word of warning, going in-wall or in-ceiling will increase the cost considerably and you need to factor in the whole placement issue as once done, you can't just move your speakers a bit. Get a CEDIA specialist to help you / do the work, or spend a lot of time researching it yourself.

Anything from the Polk Audio LCi range of in wall / ceiling speakers will sound awesome and they have a directionable tweeter which will help with the high frequency placement.

There is lots of choice and I would suggest you speak to a specialist. The majority of installation speakers require 100mm of depth. You may want to check where the supporting struts are on the wall you wish to use as this may impact on the work involved.

We tend to favour the Dali Ikon in-walls, as they are a sealed unit so minimise any sound bleed and the ribbon tweeter delivers a wide sound stage. At different budget points we also use KEF and Tannoy with good success - the Tannoy Definition Install range in particular is very good if you are looking to invest in a high quality set up.

depending on budget MK do some seriously good inwalls, their IW150`s for cinema use especially are superb and only need from front of plasterboard 100mm depth.

Coupled to either IW95 or 85 rears will make for a fantastic setup

or if monies no problem then James are probably the best in wall i`ve ever heard

both of these have to be a contender if budget allows
