Ah, ok, well that’s the amp with line-only inputs, so the ifi should do the trick. It’s had some great reviews, though I’ve never personally heard or used one.

For something a bit plainer to look at, but with very decent sound I can recommend the Rega Fono mini, which are often under £100 used.

I had the Zen Phono for a week. Made more noise than the phono stage on my yamaha, so I didn't keep it. Sounded OK though, but not noticeably better than the onboard.

I’ve had one for a few months. I had a nad before and tried another cheapish one which was rubbish. I have found it to be very good with great separation. I do find it a little “bright” but can live with that in exchange for the exceptional clarity and detail of sound. It is absolutely silent in use unlike the previous comment! Time by pink Floyd sounds incredible!
