Oh, I only spent 7 quid but I had to stick it on the CC, the agency I'm employed through can't deal with Christmas, so I've had one week's pay this year, when you usually get paid weekly that starts to bite after a month or so! It's now fully bitten...

If your brother is into metal the HD202s are a great suggestion due to the extra bass levels. An alternative are the AKG K44s with a bit less thud and a bit more detail.

Big Chris:
Ouch!

Be nice when all that back-pay comes in though, won't it.

Yes but then the car needs servicing and new rear brakes and I'll have to pay all the bills I've been putting off, including a new tank of LPG (500 quid, robbing swines...) and it's my sister's 40th birthday and then the Bristol Show obviously, so there won't be anything left by the end of the month!

I had the same problem when my Sennheiser HD 570's broke. Ended up buying some Goldring DR100 for £35. Lovely for the money and have a nice quality cable.
