Anyone having errors updating i-Tunes to the latest version check here https://discussions.apple.com/message/24608831#24608831

I had issues last night on both laptop and desktop PC running Win 7 64 bit. Uninstalling i-Tunes and re-installing didn't work, I nearly put a backup image of my c drive that I'd made at start of month, until I found the directions in that forum

Hope this helps anyone having problems.

P.S. I couldn't remove Apple Mobile Device Support but as another poster on that forum pointed out, even if not removed the new install of i-Tunes will go ahead OK. which was my experience too.

I had a problem with this too. Windows 7, 64 bit. I used the System Restore facility to go back to the previous restore point and then didn't re-update Itunes. Working fine following that. I'm hesitant about now updating again unless Apple have sorted their problem out.

Following the directions to uninstall all those Apple programs in the order given ( even though mobile support wouldn't uninstall) Allowed me to do a fresh install of i-Tunes on both my PC's.

Thinking about it I think I missed one version update of i-Tunes so maybe that's the reason I had a problem and others haven't?
