I said I'd report back once I had the CM8s set up. They look fantastic, so that's one big tick. I have not let them run in yet, but what I'm getting at the moment is a much higher level of detail at the top end than I'm used to. Diamond 10.1s were nicely balanced and easy to listen to, but they are clearly budget speakers when it comes to detail. The bass seems about right for the room (carpeted, smallish lounge) without using the foam bungs and with no boom detected.
These are just first impressions as I haven't had time for a long listening session. I feel like I've got quite a lot of speaker for my money and so far I like what I hear.
