So LG are launching low end micro led sets but limited to HDMI 2.0 and max 60hz panels.

I prefer Sony’s approach where they have the mid range X90J XR set where HDMI 2.1 and 120hz panel are standard, even though it’s LCD. Their picture technology seems promising and the panel type may not matter much.

Yes, and their new XR sets look mighty impressive, irrespective of whether OLED, microLED etc. I'm waiting for pricing - looking at the lower-end X90J, which still has 120hz/HDMI 2.1, and Dolby Vision, Atmos etc.

The gaming specs might be important to me as I'll probably have to get kiddo an Xbox/PS5 next year.
