how to use a power amp???

hi, silly question probably but how exactly do you use a power amp, is it that the power am connects to the pre outs on an av amp to give it a bit more power? somebody correct me please, always been unsure.

Hi you connect the power amp to the pre-outs of the av amp and then speakers to the power amp. This is usually done to improve sound quality rather than increase the power output.
