How to recover deleted files in Windows xp?

[font="Segoe UI, verdana, Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, sans-serif"]I had saved all my files, presentations and reports of my college project on laptop running on Windows XP OS. By mistake, deleted them by using “Shift + Delete” keys. I don't have any backup for that. I tried to recover deleted files but I can't help it. Any body suggest me data recovery software or tools so that I can recover deleted data.[/font]
