How to connect a CD Player to AV Amp

Hi,

Can anyone tell me the best way to connect a CD player to an AV receiver, the receiver has no HDMI connections.

What type of leads would i require and which inputs will i need to use to secure them on to amp.

A couple of phono cables.

Bit really more info is needed as to what the CD player and the AV amp are in case there are any other possible connections.

My AV amp is a Yamaha RVX- 2400 and CD player is a silver platter Pioneer which is approx16 to 17 year old.
