how much would i need to spend

i currently have a apair of MA RS8s that i am looking to replace - i was wondering how much more i need to spend to get a real improvement in sound quality - i heard the PMC GB1is the other day and was very impressed I am aslo going to go listen to the Spendor range - i was wondering what people could suggest for me to try - i ideally want speakers that are bi-wirable and all wood like the PMCs - no plastic front baffles etc

my cdp in a mfv8 cd and dac and amp is mf a5pre with two arcam p35s for the power - i am looking for a detailed speaker that can rock when needed.

will ad the proac to my list - are the speakers a matching pair or mirrored - i notice the tweeter isn't central?

Non-central tweeter is meant to mean that no toe-in is required.

You could try the Rega R5s while you're at it. Def give the PMC FB1s a spin as they're a real blast.

Mirrored. They have specific sides they have to go on, and will obviously look symmetrical for the missus
