I am currently looking for a Home Cinema system and i have a budget of 450 pounds.
There isn't a lot of choice in the 300-500 pounds region in terms of home cinema systems that have an blu-ray player, the Panasonic SC-BT200 is one of the few that impress. If i had more money to spend, let's say 600-800 pounds, i would be laughing, but i don't have that kind of money (to spend on a home cinema system). So, i could buy a low-end home cinema system and then buy a good blu-ray player, but even then i would spend almost the same kind of money as when i would buy the BT200. Which brings me to the main question here; how good is the blu-ray player of the Panasonic SC-BT200? A comparison with the Sony S360 would be nice.

Thank you all for your replies, it really gives me options here.
Hopefully the review of the E370 will be here soon.

Out of the three, i assume the Sony E370 is the best one?

I did a little research and i could;
- buy the Panasonic SC-BT200 for 379 pounds,
- buy the Sony E300 for 359 pounds,
- buy the Sony E370 for 419 pounds

considering the prices, which one would you choose and why?

Well, watch out with the new BDV-E370 from sony. Apparently you cannot adjust any sound settings yourself (ie bass/treble). I can't believe a company like sony is THAT stupid!!! Check the online manual, and you can see that this option is not there anymore (it is there on the E300). I think there are some presets, but still....

Yeah, I'd prefer individual settings myself. There are the following presets:

From the manual: http://pdf.crse.com/manuals/4178247132.pdf

"AUTO": The system selects "MOVIE" or
"MUSIC" automatically to produce the sound
effect depending on the disc or sound stream.
"MOVIE": The system provides the sound for
movies.
"MUSIC": The system provides the sound for
music.
"SPORTS": The system adds reverberation for
sports programs.
"NEWS": The system provides the sound for
voice programs, such as news.
"GAME ROCK": The system provides the
sound for music/rhythm games.

Plus there's a D.Bass option to up the bass frequencies.

Get a demo, see if those presets fit your expectations.
