I have a 42PZ80B. Although I am not a hard-core gamer I did connect my PC up to the TV over the weekend primarily to test out a £4 DVI to HDMI cable. You have to switch off picture overscan on the TV to get a 1920 x 1080 desktop to fit exactly, but once done it all works fine. The Windows desktop is not as sharp as on a proper LCD monitor, but when I cranked up Bioshock the graphics were quite superb - at least as good as my regular monitor.
You'll probably want the opinion of a competetive gamer though.
