ElectroMan:
Horn speakers tend to be expensive, and quite exotic. The JBL looks conventional compared to some of these!

Thanks ElectroMan,

So is their an advantage to having horns or is the conventional way better?

What are the ups and downs from your experience. The only horns I have seen are the Klipsch and the JBL's. The ones you have showed I have never heard of. They look more like art.

Hi,

To be honest, I haven't heard any horn speakers except, maybe, at a hi-fi show about 25 years ago!

I have seen the occasional article/advert over the years, but most of them seem to be very expensive, and too big for my room.

These British-made horn loudspeakers certainly look like works of art, if you've got a spare £10k !

This site about building enclosures for Tannoy horn speaker units may be of interest.
