Hi,

 

I have just set up my old 32 inch sony (crt) in a friends house but have a little snag I hope you can help with.

 

The set up is as follows.

 

Sony TV with 1 cable box (virgin media) and 1 DVD player.

 

The cable box is connected to the TV via a scart cable and I also have a male/female lead between the cable box and the TV

 

The DVD player is connected to the TV via scart lead.

 

The TV has channels 1-5 and channel 6 shows the cable channel. The problem is when I move from channel 6 onto say channel 1 and then go back to 6 the source has changed causing the screen to be blank and having to toggle through the source list to retrieve the cable channel.

 

When I had the TV in my own house channel 6 would diaplay the cable channel even if I changed channel back and forward.

HI,

Sounds like channel 6 needs assigned to auto show the video from whichever Scart socket the cable TV is plugged into.

I used to have my old CRT set tuned like that.

Think it was under the tuning options then you had an option to assign channels.
