After much deliberation about what amp to get with what speakers i have kept it simple and bought an all in one box, a HT SS1300 from Sony, this will go with the Sky HD, PS3 and Panny 42 PZ82B. The PS3 is obviously the workhorse in the system and can deliver everything i need i think. Just need a little help with the cables, was thinking of following set up

PS3 to HT1300, HDMI

HT1300 to TV, HDMI

Sky HD to TV, HDMI, not sure if this should go to HT1300, amp has sufficient HDMI conns.

Sky HD to HT1300, Optical for Sky HD.

Do i need an optical from TV to HT1300 amp?

I don't know how many HDMI inputs your system has but if you can connect Sky HD to TV via HDMI and to your amp via optical
