have been reading through the forums and getting some good info. i am a complete novice to this but want to set up a home cinema system and have an interest in getting a fairly decent setup with projector, amp, speakers etc

could anyone advise on the following>

I have a Panasonic 42d25 -

was thinking of onkyo 608

b&w685 ( but not sure how big these are). my living room is about 6m by 3m..

projector... was looking at the epson 3500 or panasonic ae3000. my issue is that i will have to have itprojecting over the width of the room and not the lenght... will this be a problem with the projectors..

also i would like if possible to have a motorised cieling mounted projector mechanism.. are these expensive and which ones are recommended? have not see any on this website

i have a ps3 which i plan to use for blue ray

also considering the b&w zeppelin...

any thoughts / opinions / guidance welcome

Manzy, you have made a good choice with the receiver and the speaker package is very good too. Depends on your budget? In a room that size you could probably get a better speaker [ackage such as the Monitor Audio RX6 AV package

Hello,

I sit about 3m from a 2m wide projector screen using the Epson 3500 and it's fine. Upscaled DVD and SD TV channels look good, except for some of the poorer channels.

I'd do a bit of demoing before deciding on a speaker set. Not heard a lot of Bose but the concensus seems to be you can get better sound for the same money..

yep planning to demo speakers... althought not deicding factor, size is an issue ... pref is B&W speakers i mentioned ealrier in my post

would be great if there was something small sized for around the same price range....

was thinking the panasonic 4000 for projector... have exactly 3.2m for viewing... should be ok i guess

living in madrid and plan is to drive to UK and pick up everything in one go... so thanks for advice.. slowly my package is coming together.. !!
