Hi all,

Just connected my blu ray home cinema system to my TV etc and although I can get sound through the home cinema speakers when playing DVD/Blu Ray, when watching TV I can only get sound through my TV speakers!!!

Anyone have an ideas as to why and how I can rectify this?

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

To get sound from the TV to playback through your HC you need to run an audio cable from TV to HC. The type of cable needed will depend on the connections available on the TV and HC,but it's usually either optical or stereo RCA though.

You'll need to check what outputs are available on the TV, and what inputs are available on the HC.

FYI, it's much easier to offer advice if you list the equipment you're using, with these types of threads...

If you have a panasonic tv & an optical cable from your tv to your amp, then go into viera link & adjust it their, that should sort it.

Apologies, I have a Samsung 7 series 46" LED TV with Samsung 2.1 ch Blu Ray home cinema system (HT C5200). I've connected everything up via HDMI and also optical. Must have gone wrong somewhere.........

Thanks again
