I have a Boston speaker package consisting of Micro 90x for the fronts and VRS micros for the rears with a REL Q100E sub . I need to upgrade my amp so any suggestions would be welcome

Welcome solarman, a little more info would be good, what source are you using, BluRay, DVD etc, what's your current amp? what's your budget?

My present amp is the Sony STR DB940 together with the Sony DV9 S336. At present just looking to change the amp but hoping to upgrade to a Blu Ray player later on when funds allow. At the moment all my films are on DVD as I got rid of the video player when it packed up.

I've tried hard looking for reviews of the speakers you've got, but couldn't find any. If they're bright, you need warm receivers like Denon or Yamaha to match. If the speakers are warm, pair them with bright receivers like Pioneer. I'll look again & will get back if I get any info. How much did your speakers cost?
