Hi guys I think I am closer to my tv choice at (50 inch plasma probably panasonic). Will be watching SkyHD and Blu Ray But here is my question. I would like to upgrade my oldish Denon 5.1 surround system receiver AVR F100 and amp F100 that came with 5 nxt speakers and sub. I have been reasonably happy watching movies on my 28 crt 
with this sound although I have tended to play movies below reference, usually -25 to -35db. Sometimes I have used its compression, but never been very happy with this as a solution My question now as I eye the Onkyo range is how high I should go up the price range if what I want is good low level, or dynamic compression sound. Or perhaps there is another make that is better at this feature. I am prepared to pay more for the amp or speakers if I thought I was going to get something better, but not if I will only recieve the benefits at high volume. So for instance I have been considering the Onkyo 606 or 875 and perhaps the Tannoy Mercury 5.1 so I am willing to pay in the 1-2k range Can anyone advise on this question, I havent been able to work it through in my own mind what to look for to ensure I am happy. thanks Edit forgot to say that my room is L shaped with the Tv and sitting area in the small part of the L so it is open on one side and approximately 2m x 4.5m. The TV is going to be on a 2m end with the sofa opposite with the room open on one of the 4.5 m sides,
