Hi-Res audio on Android phones

Hey guys,

I was thinking that since so many of us prefer to use our phones as our music players since we carry them everywhere, why not seek your opinion on how to improve the audio quality on the device.

I have an LG G2 which is capable of 24/96 audio output and many other phones are joining the group. But the music doesn't sound nearly as good as from my Cowon C2. Is there a specific Music Player on the Play Store (I heard Neutrino but doubt it) which I can use to boost up the quality. Most of the music that I listen to is either 320 kbps MP3 or .flac. Also is there a way to improve the nascent audio output (preferably without rooting the device....though I am still open to it!)?

The biggest sound improvement I've heard on a phone is through using a headphone amp like a Fiio E6.

Assuming you are using decent headphones try some of the free apps and test. I use Viper4android but it requres rooted device.
